What the Fuck Madison
Sep. 25th, 2007 11:09 pmSO apparently there is a suicidal gunman wandering around the campus and hospital area tonight. The whole area is on lockdown tonight. One of my roommates spent 4 hours stuck at the union.
BUT, campus provosts are saying that even though they haven't found the guy, we still should go to class. YOU KNOW WHY THIS IS FUCKING DANGEROUS?
He's in the damn campus area and has stated that he has a weapon and is planning to get into a shootout with police and be killed.
I know that the madison campus officials want us to go about our normal lives, and I appreciate this, but after the recent uni shootings (vtech anyone?), and the fact that this city is rapidly becoming more dangerous and the police aren't fixing it (over 20 burgleries since august, 4 bank robberies last year, a huge spike in sexual and violent assault, and a rise in drug trafficking), I'm pretty fucking pissed.
Way to go, University of Wisconsin. Way to show the students here that you care about anything but our money. Oh wait, you fucking don't.
