If anyone on my flist knows about Baroque and Rococco art and the similarities between them and Japanese woodblock prints, and Impressionism, please tell me now. Cause this paper is gonna murder me.

But really, school sucks. So glad that break starts friday. The whole campus is pretty fried right now. I doubt that anyone hasn't pulled an all-nighter or three in the past two weeks.

Thank god for loud music to keep us awake.

Oohh I remember stuff about that, I think Rococco was inspired by the japanese art and it was used in their paintings... Uhhhhhhhrmmmm :P Okay there's one painting I remember with the entire stuff about it but I can't remember which it was lol. *sigh*

I'm glad I don't have to remember this stuff :P

Rococco and Baroque art was extravagently decadent and exotic for the time, as you know. Agreeing with the poster above, I would say that they must have drawn inspiration from some of the themese seen on woodblock prints, which could be quite exdtravagent themselves. Now, combine our posts and make a paper that's MAYBE three sentences long.

Hmmm. I'm not sure about Impressionism, but post-Impressionism took a lot of influences from Japanese art. Think Toulouse-Lautrec and Whistler ...

What I suggest is finding some well-known Baroque/Rococo pieces and comparing them stylistically with the woodblock prints. You should be able to bullshit your way through a thousand words or so. :)

Actually I completely changed my topic to focus on Impressionism and the affect that Japanese art had on it. I even used Toulouse-Lautrec actually! Thanks

Yeah, I'm not much of an art student, so I totally know what it's like with art and stuff.

Thanks Sierra. FYI, I'm gonna be in town for a week or so, and I know we hardly ever see eachother, so if you want to get together, just tell me.
