Reading through old entries in

fuckyou_mcr and came across one where people were talking about the misrepresentation of Bipolar I, II, depression, and other mental disorders in fic.

As someone that suffers from a rapid cycling mixed state disorder that veers between cyclothymia and full blown bipolar II, it makes me really want to write something where mental illnesses are actually portrayed correctly, not one where Dissociative Identity Disorder (MPD) is seen as party of schizophrenia.

It's incredibly pathetic at how many misdiagnosises there are, and how skewed and incorrect the public understanding of mental illness is.
