Wow. A lot has happened in a little over a week. It's been snowing like mad out here! Well over a foot of the stuff, and people are traying on the hill by my dorm every night. It's awesome, but a total bitch to walk in. Whatever.
I've become re-addicted to HIM, VLB, and Jackass. I will be getting the shows after Christmas, (cause my sister's just want money, so that's really all we're getting), and someone NEEDS to get me HIM's Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666.
Dec. 1st, I went and saw Horse the Band, Between the Buried and Me, and FUCKING DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN at the Annex. It was amazing. For those of you that don't know Horse, they're Nintendo-core, and Dillinger is just insane Grindcore/Blues/Hardcore. The pit was just mental. I went down a couple of times, but people there are awesome, and no one got injured at all. But Greg (the lead singer) is just...beyond anything I have ever seen/heard. To go from screaming like that, to being able to sing, and do blues progressions and chords, is brilliant. There's just no way to convey just how insane and intene Dillinger is with just words.
Let me just tell you that it's rumored that they choose their time signatures with DICE. That just says it all.
But no drum kits/guitars/stages got lit on fire or smashed this time. The Annex was just too small. But we did have gratutious cymbal and mike throwing/destruction and shit like that.
On a much less cheery note, finals are coming up, which means that I'm going to be burying myself in my room starting at the end of the week, studying for Japanese and Physics. At least I don't have one for Psych, which is REALLY nice.
And Wilson is sick again. Like really, fever-sore-throat-throwing-up sick. He's been like that since Wed/Thurs, and I hope that I don't get what he has, since that would just kill me, but I haven't felt anything yet, so I am really hoping that I'm missing out on this, since none of us here can really afford to get sick.
And I'm getting a new roomate. Jen and I didn't have any problems, it was just one of her really good friends was losing her roomate, and we've managed to do a three-way swap that will hopefully work. Sarah seems like a nice, if quiet, girl. At least we have a bit more in common then Jen and I did. I hope this works out, but I'm not going to assume we're going to become best friends or something. It'll weird and awkward at least for a while.
TO MY FRIENDS: Please respond to this and tell me what you want for Christmas. I have ideas and gifts for some of you, but feedback would be appreciated, and bribed with cookies (hehehe).
