Moving to chicago hopefully!

So, can anyone recommend me some good tech schools in Chicago? I've already looked up the culinary program at the Art Institute and am applying, and am applying at the Le Cordon Bleu program at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute.

But I'm not sure if I want to give up on my chance at a Paralegal degree yet. So hence the need for tech school recs.

And yes, this means that I'm looking to move to Chicago in August, when my lease is up in Madison. Most of my friends, and all my bands are in Chicago, and I really want to be there.

So, anybody got a floor I can crash on for a while while I look for apartments and get school stuff together? I can pay rent and buy my own groceries, I swear.


Oh, and I'm coming up on the 6th, 7th, and the 8th of March to hang out for the weekend and go to the Field. So would anyone want to do something/go to some shows that friday or saturday?

YAY! We can has Gail! You can crash on my couch any time bb, just let me know a week ahead of time because it takes a while to get stuff ready. The Swingin Utters are playing Reggie's on March 6th, I don't know if that's something you'd be into but I'm planning on being there, otherwise I'd love to hang out on Saturday that weekend. YAY!

I've never heard of the swingin utters before. What kind of music is it?

And since we're staying with Wilson's aunt and uncle we'll probably be obligated to go the the jam friday night, for a while at least. At least I can get blazed.

The Swingin Utters are a fairly long lived punk band. I like them all right but they're not my favorites, but I really like one of the opening bands, and the other two openers are also pretty good, so I will enjoy it at least. Your mileage may vary.

Also, there's a very good chance I'm gonna have an apartment with Rosie (musictoyourlips) come August, our plan is to have one with a lease that starts right around then, so we can have a place for Warped and Lollapalooza. If you're still looking for somewhere to stay around then, you're welcome to whatever extra bedroom space we have. :D

Awesome. I actually have tickets for the midnight showing of Watchmen *is a geek like that* and although I'd probably be willing to see it again *again with the geekiness* but have to see how my finances are. Either way I'd be up for hanging out Saturday or Friday.
