sorry i haven't updated in a while. i've been busy.

spent the last two days at uw-madison getting registered for class and etc. I am SOOOOO tired. i walked all over campus today carrying my messenger bag, and i went to bed late tuesday. but i really can't wait for college now. i met a bunch of people who are in at least some of my classes and my dorm, and they all seem pretty cool. my dorm's pretty central, and if i loft the beds, my roomate and i will have a ton of open floor space ( i'm in the dorm with the largest rooms and i'm lucky enough to get a corner one on top of it). my classes are all pretty neat, although i might drop my psych class and take something else available in the humanities area.

yeah, so, other then that, went to the play and worked. just wanted to let people know that i'm alive. oh, amd sierra, as if you don't know already, jacob misses you, but doesn't want to monopolize your time with phone calls, use up his calling card, and etc. you'll have to ask him about it, as if you haven't already.

Ah, dorm rooms..

Actually, in all my manuals they are now called 'hallrooms' because 'dormrooms' has been given such a bad rap...heh heh. It's kind of cute.

Anyways, have fun lofting beds. I wasn't planning on lofting because of my issue with plausible heights, and neither was my roommate, so we won't have any space. We landed the smallest dorm hall, but it was our first choice. It's not as wild as the other dorms, and it's usually full of art majors and foreign exchange students. My roommate is an graphic design major, and I'm getting a French major, so I think it balances out.

I read in the local paper that someone in Waukesha is selling a loft for $75. It really is a good bargain. So look in the classifieds.

I only bought little bed raisers, that will give me another 6' under my bed for storage. Just about everything is set for my dorm room save for clothes packing, a tv stand, and splitting a minifridge with the roommate. Ha ha, that's right, we'll have a minifridge and a RICE COOKER!

Crap, I'm really going to miss you. It's only about 25 days until I leave.. aww...

we loft our beds on our desks and dressers/bookshelves. i know it sounds wierd, but they come with bolts and holes already in them. and are really sturdy.

we get a minifridge with our rooms. think i'll put the tv on top of it. or maybe put the microwave on top of the fridge and move the tv onto the mesh cubes. i wonder if most dorm rooms allow people to have rice cookers? mine never said anything about it, not that it's a common appliance.

about my dorm. liz waters is the only all-female dorm on campus. it has the largest rooms, several tv rooms for movies, free movie and vacuum rental, a kitchen, a huge laundry room (by college proportions), and is about the most central dorm on campus beside the honors dorm. guys can stay over as guests, they just can't live there. i can't believe i got it.

so, a french major? i'm thinking about east asian literature and language, with a certificate (minor) in legal studies. but maybe i'll switch it around depending on how much i like the two. although i have to take at least four semesters of japanese, and my 1st level class is SIX credits! i think i'm going to die with all the studying i'll have.

so, about 29 days until i leave. i can't wait. although i'll miss you too, maybe (grins). at least everyone else will be able to visit me.

Sierra has no dorm room because Sierra's staying home for college. WooO! Or not - I dunno. You know where I'd really like to go for college? California. Fo' real.

Sarah - we must hang out - you too Gail! All of us!

Have fun in your dorms - I may never get to have that experience :(

This is also completely unrelated, but I thought that Gail (and maybe Sarah), would appreciate this...
