interpol15Okay, so why do I want to write a story where Bob's grandfather was part of the OSS, fighting WWII on occult levels, and passed some of his pyschic powers (like telekinesis and empathy) down to Bob? And Bob hides it from the band, of course, partly because he knows that "hey, I can move shit with my mind!" is a little to crazy even for them, and partly because hey, the CIA doesn't really like people with those kinds of abilities running around in the world, and they kinda want to experiment on Bob a little, and you know? Bob's the kind of guy that values his privacy.
And then of course they come out on tour when he saves Frank from a falling light or something, and now Gerard wants to base his next comic on Bob (which, hell no), and Frank just won't let it go, because Bob saved his life and now Frank really owes him, but Bob just wants Frank to stop using him as a ladder (but not really), and evil shady guys are now following the band (duh), and this is why he just wanted to be a sound mixer in the first place.
Man, my brain is a weird place.
