It's all the native americans that live here. we adopt their names for places, and it confuses the hell out of people.

but i never realized that we have so many places here named after foreign countries/cities. all the western europeaness of my state (sarcasm)

^_^ I had/have relatives up there, and that's the only way I know the pronunciation. Yeah, you're right -- good luck on trying to pronounce the rest.
